Our Process
How We Work
At R&W Investment Sales, we want to help you understand how you can sell your DHA Property. You want to know that you can trust the person selling to have your best interest at heart and have the expertise to back it up. How do we sell a DHA home? With this simple process:
Requesting an Appraisal

Requesting an Appraisal
Requesting an Appraisal
You can engage a DHA panel agent or a non-panel agent to do an appraisal of your property. The panel agents are familiar with DHA’s property investment program, lease terms and property care contract. R&W Investment Sales have been panel agents since 2014.
You can obtain all the property information required for this on your Online Services account, via the “Appraisal and Sale” tab.
Log into DHA Online Services to access your property information via the “Appraisal and Sale” tab.
- Select the Property ID number for the property address.
- Select Appraisal and Sale tab on the far-right side of the screen (if you are on a mobile device you may need to scroll across or select the three dots to see more options)
- Select Start Sale Process on the bottom right-hand side.
You can provide your agent from R&W Investment Sales a copy of the following:
- Property photos
- Floor plan
- A copy of the lease and property care contract
- Current rent details (available on your latest statement) and most recent rental assessment
- A copy of Agent instructions – selling a DHA leased property for marketing the property.
- Your R&W Agent will then provide you with an appraisal and marketing proposal.

Your Agent will send a Form 6 – Appointment of Agent for signing.
Once the form 6 has been signed by you and your Agent, you will need to inform DHA by starting the sales process on your Online Services account, via the “Appraisal and Sale” tab.

You will also be able to obtain the tenant details from your Online Services by selecting Request Physical Visit. This will become visible to you in the Appraisal and Sale tab after the Sale Process is commenced.
Inspections & Closing The Sale
Inspections & Closing The Sale
Your agent will guide you through the sales process, from acceptance of an offer, to preparation and signing of a contract, and settlement.
Prior to your R&W Agent arranging any inspections, the Agent will ensure that the buyer is qualified and has pre-approved finance. The Agent will then arrange access directly with the DHA tenant, giving a minimum of 72 hours’ notice. The DHA Occupant (or their nominated representative) must be present at all inspections.
The team at R&W want nothing more than for everyone involved to be happy, this can only happen with a clear and prompt process. We are proud to have helped many investors over the decades in the industry. This is where we pride ourselves on our expertise and personal touch.
